Over the last 15 years I have had a focus on setting individuals and couples on the right path to retirement. Helping them define a vision of that ideal retirement and setting achievable goals. In recent years I’ve added a focus on helping people in the critical years just before and after retirement with structuring an efficient plan to distribute the wealth they’ve spent a lifetime accumulating.
The birth of my daughter Sarah created the need to learn more about planning for families who had children with special needs. This led me to get my ChSNC where I realized the gravity of going without a plan. Especially in the State of Louisiana where we have forced heirship for children disabled prior to age 26 which if not planned for can undo otherwise good estate plans. It was a common belief that certain rather complex Estate Planning tools were only necessary for relatively wealthy families which proved incorrect when it came to planning for these families. I have a passion for teaching families about the tools available and the planning required to give their children the best possible life.
