Cale P Smith, CLU, LUTCF, began his career in the financial services industry at Northwestern Mutual in 2000. He worked his way through their management and leadership programs, starting as a college unit director and ending as a managing director for a total of 15 years. As a result of his success in bringing his office to number 5 in the country, he was recruited to MassMutual Louisiana as a general manager to restructure and rebuild their organization, managing and overseeing 6 locations throughout Louisiana and Mississippi.
Cale was born in Dallas, TX and raised in the small town of Church Point, LA. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Southern University in Baton Rouge. Cale served 14 years in the US Army/LA national Guard as a combat medic. He and his wife Katherine have been married for 20 years and have made their home in Baton Rouge. They have 4 children, Jake, Ben, Claire and Gabe. He is a respected member of the community, a long-time parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church and is involved in and served on the board of many local foundations and charities. He and his wife also personally funded the Cale P and Katherine Smith Student Financial Center at LSU in their effort to educate young people in the importance of financial management to secure their futures. In addition to this, Cale gives lectures several times a year to students in the business college and the professional sales institute at LSU.
