Being involved with the community is at the core of what I do both personally and professionally. Being in a position to help others is why I love being a Financial Professional with Penn Mutual.I believe that being a good business owner in any profession should be rooted in how you can give back to others. This is why I always seek to make giving back a part of my mission.
Since starting in my position as a Financial Professional, I have joined the Urban League of New Orleans, The Junior League of New Orleans, and Business Networking International. I also worked with local businesses and the Women's Ministry of my Church Mt. Tabor to help with our Penn Mutual Food Drive over the holidays. In my first year as a provisional member of Junior League I was required to fulfill 40 hours of community service which was an amazing way to give back and meet others. Most recently I signed up to run the Crescent City Classic 10k to raise funds for the Junior League of New Orleans which has many programs that give back to the community and is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership.
I find that the partnerships I make by working with others and working for the community tend to be strong lasting bonds. I find joy in being involved with the community, engaging, educating, or lending a hand. The energy that comes from giving overflows into everything you do. It gives me knowledge of what is needed to help grow a prosperous and sustainable community and how better to help my clients.
