Following 14 proud years of service as a combat medic for the United States Army and Louisiana National Guard, Cale graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Southern University in Baton Rouge and entered the Financial Services industry in 2000.
Cale and his wife, Katherine, have been married for 20 years and have made their home in Baton Rouge with their 4 children. He is a respected member of the community, a long-time parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church and has served on the board of many local foundations and charities. Mr. and Mrs. Smith personally funded the Cale P and Katherine Smith Student Financial Management Center at Louisiana State University in their effort to encourage, educate and empower young people in the importance of financial management to alleviate stress and secure their futures. Cale continues to give lectures several times a year to students in the business college and the professional sales institute at LSU.
